3D printing is a type of additive manufacturing that creates a physical object from a digital design. It allows for the creation of complex shapes and designs that would be difficult or impossible to achieve with traditional manufacturing methods.
I already knew I wanted to do something with this little boat, called a 3D Benchy, because it's one of, if not the most popular 3D printed object.
While looking at projects I could print, I found this random photo of a lake for some reason and it gave me the idea to put the Benchy on the lake.
I also had the idea of having the Benchy be next to a dock, though this didn't end up happening because the model was too small.
With a base idea of how I wanted it to look, I began to sketch out what I was thinking.
I designed it in Tinkercad, using the sketch as a reference.
With the digital design done, there was only one thing left to do: send it to Bambu Slicer to slice and print the benchy on a lake. I printed it in black PLA because that's what was available and I'm really happy with how it came out.
I have this water bottle that tends to fall off of my desk a lot and when it does, it makes a huge disruption and is honestly really annoying.
So I looked online for a silicone boot for it but they were like $20, so I decided to print my own out of TPU, a rubber-like filament.
I found a couple designs online, but they wouldn't fit my bottle so I decided to learn Fusion 360 and design my own.

I wasn't able to get the TPU to print correctly as it had absorbed too much water. Even after so many hours in the dehydrator, the print just wouldn't come out nicely.
